Encounter Narrative

Welcome to my website dedicated to eco-narratives content!

I am an English major at Wright State University with concentrations in creative & professional writing, and I am also a music and Spanish minor.

I wanted to study Eco-Narratives because I have recently become engaged with the climate crisis affecting our planet. I studied abroad in London during Fall 2019, and the experience opened my eyes towards many new global perspectives, including how dangerous the crisis is. I was in Paris the weekend of the Extinction Rebellion, and I was amazed to see so many passionate protestors essentially shut down the city's transport system to raise awareness to this issue. Protests happened across the world that weekend, but I felt like European cities were much more engaged with the climate crisis than my hometown felt towards the issue.

The unique multi-disciplinary approach to this class will help me understand how I can use my literary and story-telling skills with a biological lens to tell new narratives to increase awareness and bring positive change to the world.

You will see in the tabs above several projects I completed for this course, and I would encourage you to check them out!
